Stop by LBCC next weekend (9/12-13) and check out Funny Book Fest, a group of independent comedy artisans put together by The Devastator! We will be plunked down in Booth FBF5.
Here at Pizza Day Comics we’re just mad as hatters that we didn’t have time to finish the comic this week. But we have a good reason (or a plausible one at that): both Zoë Moss and Jacob Strick are in an art show!

Calling all Anime fans! In the Year 199X is a celebration of Japanese animation in the 1990’s, curated by your favorite senpais Zoë Moss & Jacob Strick. Join us as we unveil the works of over 90 artists in celebration of their all-time favorite anime influences.
Kids who grew up in the 90’s know it as the decade where anime found its crossover appeal in the West. It might have been on Toonami or on a bootleg VHS, but you were watching shows like Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon and Cowboy Bebop — not to mention some classic cinema like Ghost in the Shell, Perfect Blue and Princess Mononoke. Whether you prefer dubs or subs – or Digimon to Pokémon – prepare yourself for the most animetastic tribute to 90’s Japanese cartoons!
When: July 3rd, 2015 from 7 to 11 PM Where: Meltdown Comics inside Nerdist Showroom 7522 Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90046 Click here for the Facebook event page

Doing better than yesterday, but still sick. What’s up with this bug that’s going around, it’s terrible! Could very well be a mini flu. Anyway, this was me yesterday. I could barely move, I went through a box of tissues in one day, and finally started watching Tru Blood. I kept wanting to drink V juice so’s I could get better.
Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow!
A SAD FATE FOR PIZZA DAY DIS WEEK. Zoë – our amazing artist – is recovering from a flu that has knocked her out. Regular comics will resume next week, but rather than leave you all empty handed we wanted to give you a preview of a little thing we’ve been working on…
This is Toad Boy! A cheery lad who just wants to help everybody! Astute Pizza Day readers may remember him from last January’s comic, “Toad Boy in ‘Sweet Nothings’.” He’s since then taken on a life of his own here at PDC HQ. You’re likely to see more of him soon…
